Sheriff, FRC rep and American Legion reps with backpack donation for school

The Clarkson Elementary FRC recently received a back to school bonanza of 75 backpacks and 75 sets of earbuds thanks to a project spearheaded by the Sons of the Legion. In partnership with the American Legion Post 81, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81, and Grayson County Sheriff’s “Behind the Badge” program, these much-needed items will help get Clarkson students off to a great start to the school year.

Shown (l – r) are: Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins, Clarkson FRC Coordinator Ann Brooks, Heather Platter, Legionnaire and Advisory to the Sons of the Legion, Miles Thomas, Legionnaire, Angie Patterson, Diane Mudd, and Wendy Pablo, all with the Auxiliary. Not pictured is Scotty Alvey, Commander of the Sons of the Legion.
